Extra Innings Triumph!

Well I was not home this weekend, but I did manage to see the extra innings on Saturday and I watched the highlights on MLB.TV for Sundays game, and boy was it exciting, which I could've seen the games first hand.  Two BIG extra innings wins puts the Pirates back within 2 games of .500, and now they get the pleasure of facing the Reds, who are dead last in the NL Central, series starts tomorrow at 7:10. The Pirates bullpen pitched EXTRAordinarily well the last couple nights, and we can credit them (and Jason Bay) with the two wins. Bay has really been heating up and playing the way he should lately, and now has 12 (should be 13) home runs this year, and that's a pretty good number. Nady seems to be out of his slump and is back to driving the ball well and the Pirates are, again, coming around and showing some promise. We'll see how long we can keep the good hitting and sufficient pitching going, and maybe we can get over this .500 hump with a couple series wins! Let's Go Bucs!
