The Pirates finished out game 1 looking like a real good baseball team. Zach Duke pitched well enough to pitch 6 shutout innings, despite walking 5. The defense also committed 4 errors, but made some real nice plays along with it. All of the Pirates runs were scored on 2 hits, off the bats off Freddy Sanchez's 3 run double and Adam LaRoche's 2 run homerun. The Pirates ended up with 5 runs on 5 hits. Efficiency. 18-19 now and one win away from .500, let's see how JVB can do. Let's Go Bucs!!
