Pirates vs. Mets
Well it's the Pirates last time in Shea Stadium, as our wonderful color commentators made very clear last night. I am anxious just to watch Johan Santana pitch, maybe he will be slightly vulnerable again tonight as he has been (a little bit) this year. I believe he's 3-2 with like a 3.20 era or somewhere around there, i don't feel like looking it up. Pirates played a great game yesterday, but it's a different day and a different starting pitcher. Ian Snell did look good last start (disregarding the first inning). Hopefully that 2nd-6th inning performance will carry over into tonight as he tries to silence the Mets big bats. Tonight I'm rooting for a Pirates victory, and maybe a hit or two for Carlos Beltran to help my fantasy team out of the recent rut it's been in. ahah. go bucs!

keep at it my friend. i enjoy your blog and perspective from the 'burgh. 5 in a row! I'm worried about Freddie's shoulder. Some of those throws looked really weak. If he sits, then it's Rivas time and that's not good for more than a day.
go Bucs!
